It is said that by takiing Bath at Kumbha Mela one washes his sins. How far is it true ?

Yes this is very true. It washes away our sins. That's why it is important once in a while to visit Kumbhu Mela.

I also like to share this story:
For many years, Costa Rica and Nicaragua have argued with each other over their borders along the San Juan River. I read this here: Costa Rica border dispute with Nicaragua blamed on Google Maps The Costa Rica/Nicaragua border dispute got serious last week when a Nicaraguan military commander led troops into Costa Rican territory. Costa Rica said Nicaragua had invaded its territory, while the commander said he was just following Google Maps, which showed that he was nevertheless in Nicaragua.

Wash sins

very true Ramkumar, this is the basic premise for attending the kumbh mela. offcourse the sadhus also take away the sins and burn it through their tapasya
