Uttarakhand Chief Minister Thanks Mayavati

The problem of Police force shortage faced by the Uttarakhand govt. for the forthcoming Kumbha Mela seems to have come a happy ending with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minster Mayawati agreeing to depute as many policemen from Uttar Pradesh as possible. This is the first time that the Uttarakhand state would be hosting the full or poorna Kumbha mela and any help from its earlier parent state Uttarpradesh is welcome, as all the previous Kumbha Melas at Haridwar have been conducted by Uttarpradesh

It is a god send boon considering  Uttarakhand’s immediate need for policemen for conducting the forthcoming Kumbh Mela in January, “We are really grateful to Mayawatiji for giving due consideration to our urgent requirement for cops to man the Kumbh Mela, where nearly 50 million people were expected to converge,”  the Uttarakhand Chief Minister Dr. Pokhriyal said
